You can update your Aadhaar details online or offline.
To update your Aadhaar details online, you need to:
- Go to the Aadhaar Self-Service Update Portal: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
- Login using your Aadhaar number and OTP.
- Select the details you want to update.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the processing fee.
- Submit your request.
To update your Aadhaar details offline, you need to:
- Visit an Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Centre.
- Fill out the Aadhaar update form.
- Provide the required documents.
- Pay the processing fee.
- Your Aadhaar details will be updated within 3-6 weeks.
The following details can be updated online:
- Address
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Name (only for minor children)
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Language preference
The following details can only be updated offline:
- Photo
- Signature
- Biometric information (fingerprints and iris scan)
You can also update your Aadhaar details by post. To do this, you need to send a letter to the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre along with the required documents and processing fee.
The following documents are required to update your Aadhaar details:
- Proof of identity (such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID card)
- Proof of address (such as electricity bill, water bill, bank statement)
- Proof of relationship (such as marriage certificate, birth certificate)
