  2. Click on the Create a tag button.
  3. Select the Google Analytics tag type.
  4. Enter your Google Analytics tracking ID.
  5. Select the type of data that you want to collect.
  6. Click on the Save button.

Here are the detailed steps for each of these steps:

  1. Go to the Tag Manager website and sign in to your account.
  2. Click on the Create a tag button.
  3. Select the Google Analytics tag type.
  4. Enter your Google Analytics tracking ID.

You can find your tracking ID in the Property Settings page of your Google Analytics account.

  1. Select the type of data that you want to collect.

You can select the following types of data:

  • Page views: This tracks the pages that your website visitors view.
  • Events: This tracks specific events that happen on your website, such as a user clicking on a button or filling out a form.
  • Ecommerce: This tracks ecommerce transactions on your website.
  1. Click on the Save button.

Once you’ve created the tag, you need to add it to your website. You can do this by adding a snippet of code to your website’s header or footer. You can find the code in the Preview section of Tag Manager.

Once you’ve added the tag to your website, you can start collecting data in Google Analytics. You can view your data in the Reports section of Google Analytics.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when setting up Google Analytics in Tag Manager:

  • You can create multiple tags in Tag Manager. This can be useful if you want to track different types of data or events.
  • You can also create triggers in Tag Manager. This can be useful if you want to fire a tag only under certain conditions, such as when a user clicks on a button or fills out a form.
  • You can also create variables in Tag Manager. This can be useful if you want to reuse data or values across multiple tags.

I hope this helps!
